A Flashback of Christmas Delights~

In the first photo, you have one of my favorites, almond toffee. I like to leave the almonds whole in this recipe for a wonderful nutty crunch. You can find the recipe here.

This next picture is the caramel corn I made last year. It was the best caramel corn I've ever made! That recipe can be found here.

This last photo is the breakfast strata that I make every Christmas to serve on Christmas morning. Another fabulous recipe, it has become a tradition in my home. It has sun dried tomatoes, turkey sausage, fresh rosemary and Monterey Jack cheese for a wonderful mix of flavors. You have to prepare one day ahead for this one. Here is that recipe.

  1. I loved the flashback and I want to come over for breakfast! Looks fabulous! and the popcorn and toffee would go perfect after I've had some of the strata!

  4. Susan, Flashbacks are some of my favorite posts ... and all of these are definitely worthy of repeating.

I love seeing the hint of red doily under the toffee and the pecans in the caramel corn. And raspberries on a plate with anything is a winner to me.

But, I especially appreciate that I can click on your magnificent pictures to see them in all of their glory.

  5. Wonderful holiday classic recipes, Susan. I haven't made candy yet and your toffee will be perfect. We always have a similar cheese strata Christmas morning too. Sacred traditions to be sure.

  9. These are some excellent flashbacks. The strata is a great idea and I have a recent obsession with caramel popcorn. I had homemade caramel popcorn for the first time at a potluck last week and fell head over heels. So festive.
